Boris Johnson, The Mayor of London has had the fashion world in quite a stir, as fashionista's flocked in full force to Somerset House for the grand opening of London Fashion Week. Mr Johnson gave a speech about his thoughts on fashion and the future plans for the fashion industry for 2012.
Despite Boris being surrounded by fashionista's across the globe, and being at a high profile event, he looked like his usual self; unruly, windswept locks and a basic boardroom suit. Even when asked as to who he was wearing in regards to his suit, he quite casually repled "i dont know... a suit" , but he went on to say "I am wearing a very fashionable polyester tie made in England, which came from a free school which I opened in West London".
The six day event was in full swing as London-based Irishman Paul Costelloe's Spring-Summer2012 collection kicked off the biannual event, with 1960's inspired pieces. I wonder if Mr Johnson was inspired by anything he saw today?
