Historically known for its strap-based designs, BOVET has transitioned to a bracelet model in response to requests from collectors seeking a daily-wear option that captures the brand’s unique elegance. Driven by this vision, owner Pascal Raffy dedicated significant time to designing a bracelet watch that balances sophistication and comfort. “Collectors were eager for a bracelet timepiece, and we wanted it to be flawless,” Raffy explains. “After years of refining the design, we believe the Récital 12 delivers on this promise.”
One of the standout features of the Récital 12 is its carefully selected material. Unlike BOVET’s traditional use of 18K gold or platinum, this model is crafted from grade 5 titanium, valued for its lightness and durability. Known for hypoallergenic properties and corrosion resistance, titanium is widely used in high-tech industries, including medical applications. Raffy, whose background includes pharmaceuticals, found titanium’s strength and adaptability ideal for this model. This alloy—90% titanium, 6% aluminum, and 4% vanadium—offers durability, luxury, and practicality in a fully recyclable, sustainable choice that aligns with BOVET’s environmental commitment.
The Récital 12’s 40mm case and bracelet prioritize comfort for daily wear. Its adjustable bracelet, featuring up to 3mm of flexibility, adapts to subtle changes in wrist size throughout the day. BOVET’s “V” emblem on the clasp creates an infinity symbol when closed, a nod to timeless elegance. The bracelet’s combination of polished and matte-brushed finishes further enhances the Récital 12’s visual appeal, reflecting BOVET’s attention to detail.
Inside the Récital 12, a custom manual-wind movement has been developed exclusively for this model. With an impressive seven-day power reserve, achieved by a single barrel, this movement underscores BOVET’s dedication to lasting quality and technical artistry. The design includes features like an exposed in-house balance wheel and a distinctive running seconds indicator, adding a visual and artistic dimension.
The dial highlights BOVET’s iconic Lotus Flower guilloche, with 12 petals representing each hour. This offset hour-minute display, crafted entirely in-house, features fire-blued screws and layered lacquer, resulting in a luminous finish. Topped with a power reserve indicator, the dial reflects BOVET’s legacy of elegance and functionality.
Blending BOVET’s rich heritage with contemporary innovation, the Récital 12 harmonizes art and craftsmanship in one remarkable design. As Raffy notes, “This timepiece unites modern materials with timeless craftsmanship.” The Récital 12 invites collectors to experience BOVET’s artistry from a new perspective, charting an exciting path for the future of luxury watchmaking.
