Anne Hathaway at the Golden Globes

Classic beauty Anne Hathaway stole the show at this year's Golden Globe Awards (2011). Looking more than radiant on the red carpet she donned a figure-hugging Prive evening gown by designer Giorgio Armani. The dress emphasised her silhouette form, the sequins shimmered and brought out all the elegance that she represents.

The gown was metallic rose with amber and camel hues. In true Hathaway style...simple but effective. The puffed shoulders with gatherings gave it a more 21st century look. This long gown was intentionally understated, backless - the LESS is MORE effect dominated the carpet this year. Low open back dresses with length proved popular. Anne sported long hair with retro waves that bounced as she walked. Her lips were smeared with rouge coco lipstick and the gold clutch bag matched her vintage jewellery set (Van Cleef & Arpel) notice that the earrings weren't large, there was no big statement necklace or bangles for that matter.

Sometimes the dress says it all and in this case.... it worked well for Anne let classic beauty and elegance reign. You can't beat timeless, classic gowns at any golden event.
