Winter has just started brrrrrr and so we must proceed with wearing more winter outfits and garments until March. Winters are starting later each year. This month's Men's Winter collection in Milan showcased a plethora of winter looks/ensembles for 2013/2014. FashionThirst's main focus was on the Vivienne Westwood collection. Most of her collection was made up suits with varying trouser lengths some from calf to ankle, others straight and cuffed, overcoats were long tailed morning coats and some of the vests had short waists. Many of the trousers were low-crotched, we also witnessed many wide-brimmed hats. Some of her svelte, chiseled featured models had painted black eyes and brightly coloured laces to accompany their Yorkshire look-a-like mining boots.
Vivienne's main message and theme was focused on Climate change. She called for the eco-conscious to rise up and educate the speculators and nay sayers. She called for a 'Real climate' revolution. I don't ever remember the UK being minus 20 (- 20 degrees celcius) in my lifetime, well not since I was 3 or 4 years old. For a Climate revolution to really happen we need one tangible study without any hidden agendas to be presented to the biggest offenders of pollution - Governments. Vivienne always startles us with an interesting collection backed by a message for a cause. Now let's turn up the heating !
