Nicole Farhi

Men's fashion week in London is finally over ! The Fashion Thirst team headed down to view the much talked about Nicole Farhi men's collection despite the storm, winds and rain.

Farhi's range was definitely a fuss-free, purist and essentially a Bohemian collection with good proportions of size. The cuts and silhouettes were very masculine and generally well-crafted.

Most of the fabrics used were a mixture of organic and natural scuba wool flannels,  some cottons and the odd warm shearling. There were a few tweed knit jumpers and cashmere trousers. The colour palette was really refreshing; a mixture of caramel beige, charcoal greys, strong navies, washed khaki and our favourite duck egg blue.

The collection viewing was based in St George's St and all the styling was done by Jason Hughes.  I didn't see Caroline Rush, Chief Exec of the British Fashion Council but she was rumoured to have popped in to view the range. All in all a good collection, back to masculinity in its purest form, the duck egg blue shirt stood out the most - a thumbs up from the Fashion Thirst team. Milan next !
