Givenchy also paid homage to the cradle of civilization with pieces inspired by ancient Egyptian motifs such as the legendary eye of Horus hieroglyph which symbolizes protection, royal power and good health.

Givenchy shifted from last year's lingerie to a more noteworthy collection involving richly coloured military style jackets, frocks in psychedelia and mysticism patterns, as well as contrasting snake and leopard pieces.
