Luxury eyewear retailer Fashion Eyewear has added the Chanel Bijou 2014 range to its growing collection of brands.
The exclusive range includes three celestial themed finishes: Stardust in shades of crystal blue and aqua, Sunset,dark tortoise frames with rhinestone a gold relief, and Moonlight, black with rhinestone and a silver relief. Each design is finished with the iconic Chanel logo on the inside of the temples.
The collection is available in store at Fashion Eyewear’s Chiswick showroom. Each pair retails for £522 and UK distribution is extremely limited.

Arriving in from Scotland at Luton airport on Monday a tad bleary eyed didn't stop me from meeting up with the Fashion Thirst team. I wanted to witness the world premiere of the film Expendables III red carpet event.
The full cast turned up. Wesley Snipes donned dark glasses and was dressed from head to toe in black, Sly Stallone came with family in tow and April Pearson turned up in a silk high cut coral gown. The cut and shape was mesmorising, the dress flaired out from the waist line which rendered a discreet 1950's feel.
April wore nude heels to complement the strong coral hues. She got the thumbs up from us. April is best known for her role as Michelle Richardson in the British E4 teen drama series, Skins. April gets the Fashion Thirst award for best dress on the night.

On 20th July at the Raleigh hotel in Miami Beach, Florida Luli Fama threw her 7th Luli Fama catwalk show at the annual Mercedes-Benz fashion week swimwear jamboree. As you can see Luli's bikinis captivate the culturally rich and enigmatic nature of Miami now home to wealthy Latinos from all over South/Central America, Jews and old Republicans. It is not just a retirement home or an enclave for Cuban refugees.
If we watch re-runs of the hit show Miami Vice you'll see where Luli's collection draws inspiration from, the vast array of pastels and neon colors in addition to the hot, tropical patterns and prints conjure up scenes of aqua life, parrots and flamingos. When asked about her collection Luli (real name Lourdes) said “Paradise (Miami) is in our backyard and we are going to take you on an adventure full of color and life”. Luli didn't cut corners on style capsules there were monokinis, bikinis with matching flip flops, bikini onesies, cover-ups and bikini dresses, all made with light fabrics and enhanced exceptional detail in bright pinks and nuanced oranges.
The exuberance represents Luli's life growing up.The natural vibrancy of Miami shined through the collection. Luli's catwalk show initially opened up with individuals on stilts we also saw women in Carnival-esq feathery orange head dresses with boa snakes to add some 'caliente' to the mix. Miami is home to the best display of bikini wear, all you need to do is visit South Beach (SoBe). Over the years Miami managed to shrug off its image of being a B-list LA or a hub for services that revolve around the drug trade, money laundering (night club owners), bail bondsmen and attorneys who service the cartels to Spring break party zones and the nexus of music festivals. The Art Deco district is uber cool. From Miami Vice to Miami Nice; thanking Luli for a vivid and fun collection.

On Saturday 19th July, Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week SWIM 2014 presented the CM Cia.Maritima 2015 collection. Taking place at the Cabaña Grande in the well-known Raleigh Hotel in Miami, celebrity guests included DJ and model Alexandra Richards and actor Aaron O’Connell.
The collection, inspired by beach paradises, sent the audience to Peru, Costa Rica and Hawaii. Following the brand’s mission to ‘follow the sun’, the sizzling collection has been designed with women who travel in mind.
Body suits, teeny ruffled bikinis and square strapless tops are just some of the unique shapes featured in the 2015 collection. Alongside the bold tropical prints and mixed textures, they give the collection a truly original flavour that instantly sends you to a faraway paradise.

The Valentino Autumn/Winter 2014/15 collection at the recent, annual Paris Haute Couture show was dazzling and inspirational. The catwalk was set on a hollowed out tree trunk with brown bark surrounded by living walls, Centurion styled nymphs were clad in flat gladiatorial/Greco-esq sandals and fun, leather-belted tunics. Many layers on some of the dresses were appliquéd with black and gold, Roman-styled flowers which looked eternally elegant. We also saw various spliced-neck dresses and twinsets covered in typical intrecciato weaves and amazing gold lacework.
The range reminded the observers of the pure sensuality of Olympus. So many of the gowns were silhouetted slender, ethereal designs. Our team particularly liked the crossed by leather lace straps, they looked splendid and seductive, the flowing draped silks and flat crisscross sandals really worked welll.
The wardrobe palette consisted of white, gold, black, and a favourite colour of mine - sky blue right down to nudes and deep reds. The overall concept was utterly chic it was a strong 61-piece collection which drew on the natural beauty of crepe silks, sheer tulle and marbled wool in draped or column-styled silhouettes. The draped pale blue gown with gentle ripples was a firm favourite of the FashionThirst team.
Emma Watson - the face of Burberry turned up to the show very late. Kim Kardashian arrived to see the collection in a plunging ice blue gown which caused a stir with photographers. She turned up with house founder Valentino Garavani. As they say 'choose your friends wisely'. Kim did.
