Last week's Victoria's Secrets show caused a stir on Twitter, Facebook and most online chat rooms. One of my friends based in Afghanistan even went online to watch it ! I think everybody was struck by the rather grandiose $10 million USD royal fantasy bra and belt designed exclusively for Victoria's Secrets by world-renowned jeweler, Mouawad (Arabic name).

Victoria's Secrets model Candice Swanepoel had the privilege of displaying the fantasy bra. This was the first time Candice was given the prestigious honor of wearing a Victoria's Secrets fantasy bra. In the past we've seen Tyra Banks and gorgeous Brazilian Adriana Lima sport them. Valued at $10 million USD, the royal fantasy bra and matching belt are adorned with over 4,200 precious gems including opulent yellow sapphires. The Mouawad brand is well known for its dazzling craftsmanship. The vision at Mouawad has always been to enchant, the crowd were certainly enchanted on the day. To sum up - long legs, crazy jewels and gems, white long sleeve gloves and one gigantic ruby, Candice rocks.

Nina Ricci SS14 is crisp and feminine with a multitude of white textures, silky florals and delicate tailoring. Inspired by the Eighteenth Century, the collection plays with romantic neck ruffles and lace. Whilst the collection may have reflected a tranquil 1700s Riviera scene, the show was nothing but calm, as two Ukrainian protestors from the Feminist group “Femen” stormed on stage. The topless protestors, who had the slogans “Model don’t go to Brothel” and “Fashion Dictator” on their chests must have given front rowers like Olivia Palermo a shock!

Mad Men star Julianne Hough turned up at the 65th annual Emmy awards at the Nokia theatre on Monday night (I've been !) in a sheer embellished skirt over a coordinating leotard-like strapless outfit. The spearmint coloured, off-the-shoulder necklined creation's focal point was the leotard joined to a sparkly, tulle ball skirt.
This was teamed up with some hot Jimmy Choo heels and a retro hair style. Her bob cut was made up of highlighted, tousled beach waves. We also loved her icy, sparkly eye shadow.
Kerry Washington was also a 'Ms. show stopper' at this red carpet event. She arrived wearing a romantic, airy, delicate, blush Marchesa runway gown complete with a train, fresh off the runway from New York's fashion week. Kerry looked soft and radiant wearing pinks and purple make-up to complement the dress colors. This was essentially a feminine and innocent look we particularly liked the featured gold metallic lace bracelet which gave way to the tulle skirt. The uber -impressive hand-dyed ombre rose ribbon flowers and embelishments was complemented by her handbag. The cream coloured white had underlays of gold lace and flower appliques. One word 'Gush'.
